Happy New Year from Breakwater Magazine! As we press reset on a new year, we want to share with you an important update.

Last year, Vancouver Island Brewing launched this humble, digital magazine. It was through stories—about food, drink, music, travel, art and more—that we wanted to capture all the reasons we’re proud to call Vancouver Island home. We’re prouder than ever to call this place home, but as we look ahead to 2020, we’re shifting focus.

Instead of bringing you the best stories about the Island, we want to bring you the best taste of the Island. This is why, starting today, we’re taking an extended break from publishing and redirecting our attention back to producing the best quality beer we can make (we’ve been doing that since 1984, after all). You won’t see any new posts or stories from Breakwater for awhile, but you can find all the delicious beer we produce over at Vancouver Island Brewing. 

Thanks for following along with our editorial endeavours this past year. We hope to see you again soon.
